Gants Hill is in the London Borough of Redbridge, close to metropolitan Essex. The station was designed by prominent tube station designer Charles Holden who modelled the building on those he’d seen examples of on the Moscow metro system. The community around Gants Hill is relatively suburban, close to major roads that lead out of the capital. The station is on the Central Line ‘loop’ and situated in Travelcard zone 4.
