This station has interchanges on both the Bakerloo line and the Bank branch of the Northern Line. Elephant and Castle is a busy area of south-central London surrounded by roads that feed off to every part of the capital and beyond. Many of London’s thousands of bus lines either terminate at the station or pass through Elephant and Castle on their way to other places in the capital. There is a great deal of ‘brutalist’ architecture in the area, much of which is being demolished.
