This station is positioned on both the Piccadilly Line and the Metropolitan line close to Rayners Lane in London. Surrounded by the suburb of Eastcote the original town centre known as Old Eastcote is some distance away from this Underground station. Earlier in the twentieth century the station was a popular stop for people on outings to the nearby Cavendish Pavilion. However in more recent times the popularity of this attraction has begun to wane.
