Positioned on the District Line, East Putney is a station in the affluent area of Putney in southwest London. The high street is busy with shoppers enjoying the many eclectic shops and boutiques, dining in the cafes and drinking in the bars. Nearby is Putney Bridge that crosses the river Thames to Fulham and is famous for being the place the Varsity Boat Race between Oxford and Cambridge ends. It is in Travelcard zone 3.
