East Finchley is situated on the Northern Line in a particularly pleasant leafy suburb of north London. The station itself is quite well known for its architecture, particularly the glazed escalator staircases that are visible from the street. The station is located in Travelcard zone three. One of the major nearby attractions is Highgate Cemetery where amongst other well-known residents of London the famous Philosopher and Political Scientist Karl Marx is buried.
