Debden was originally a small town on the northeast perimeter of London. As the capital has grown, ribbon growth has left little countryside between London ‘proper’ and the town, although it is part of Essex rather than Greater London. Situated close to one of the areas most beautiful parklands, Epping Forest, Debden is on the Central Line towards Epping.
