The station is just a short walk from the historic tea clipper ‘The Cutty Sark’ that is situated in the street in Greenwich, southeast London. It is also the closest station to The National Maritime Museum, The Greenwich Observatory, Greenwich Foot Tunnel, Greenwich Market and the centre of maritime Greenwich itself. It was the first DLR station to be built south of the river Thames and as the railway passes under the river, the station is underground.
