This station is noted for its lovely facade that faces towards the south side of Clapham Common. In many ways closer to Balham than Clapham, the station is on the Northern Line on the other side of the common to Clapham Common station. It is one of the few stations in London to have an air raid shelter underneath it and is situated in Travelcard zone 3.
