Located in the heart of the City of London, Chancery lane is one of the few stations in the capital to be permanently closed on Sundays. This is due to the fact it is almost exclusively used by commuters to travel to nearby offices and it has many other tube stations within walking distance. Close to the exit of the station is The Staple Inn, one of the very few surviving buildings from the Great Fire of London in 1666.
