Bermondsey is a part of London, just south of the river Thames opposite the city of London. The station is part of the Jubilee Line extension that was built in part to serve the Millennium Dome. The station is noted as an excellent spot to watch the London Marathon from as it passes straight past on the Jamaica Road. Other nearby attractions include Tower Bridge and the newly constructed City Hall where the Mayor of London and the Greater London Authority do business.
