Close to Hampstead and Chalk farm on the Northern Line, Belsize Park station is situated in Travelcard zone 2. The station is close to the Royal Free Hospital, more commonly referred to as just ‘Royal Free’. Interestingly, the interchange is one of only eight stations on the Underground network that has a ‘deep-shaft’ air raid shelter positioned underneath it. Entrances to the shelter can be found at the corner of Havistock Hill.
