The name is thought to have been inspired by Earl’s Court situated just a mile or so to the west. Barons Court station is used primarily as an interchange for passengers leaving the District Line on their way to Heathrow Airport via the Piccadilly Line. Nearby attractions include The Queen’s Tennis Club that hosts the annual Wimbledon warm up tournament for men and The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art is also close by.
