Baker Street is one of the first stations on the oldest piece of line in the London Underground network. The sub-surface platforms are adorned with pictures of the construction of the Underground in the mid nineteenth century. The area is synonymous with fictional sleuth Sherlock Holmes who lived at 221B Baker Street. The station is in Travelcard zone 1 and is on five tube lines; Circle, Hammersmith, metropolitan, Bakerloo and Jubilee.
