Almost 25 miles from the centre of London, Amersham is one of the most far flung of the London Underground stations. Not really in greater London, the station is situated in the county of Buckinghamshire and forms the last stop on the Metropolitan line. Amersham is also served by Chiltern Railways and has excellent bus links to nearby places such as Abingdon.
