Abbey Wood is located in south east London in the London Borough of Greenwich. In 1951 Abbey Wood was the location of the last ever tram to run in Britain. Some of the famous former residents have included Steve Davis, snooker legend who grew up in the area and singer Kate Bush who attended a convent school nearby. Nearby attractions include Lesnes Abbey and Bostal Woods which is home to one of the few camping sites within London.
