Inverness Station is probably the most important railway interchange in the Highlands of Scotland. Standing at the centre of Inverness which is known as ‘the capital of the Highlands’, the station serves a great wealth of railway lines which give access to the major cities of Scotland to the south and rural extremities of the Highlands to the north.
