Wilnecote Station stands at the centre of the ancient street known as Watling Street which has been a place of trading and meeting for many thousands of years. The facility serves the Wilnecote area of Tamworth a few miles to the south of the centre and enjoys regular train services on the Cardiff to Nottingham Railway.
