Shifnall is a small town in Shropshire with a very interesting history, the station stands close to the centre of the community. Once a major trading post between north and south the town has many pubs which once serviced the needs of the traders. The area is well known because of Charles Dickens’ love of it, basing the Old Curiosity Shop on buildings he saw in the town.
