This station was once known as Oldbury but was renamed Sandwell and Dudley Station after the two West Midlands metropolitan areas began to grow quickly in the 20th Century. There are regular services to the facility running on the Rugby, Birmingham and Stafford Railway as well as the West Coast Mainline.
