This is one of two stations that serves the former coal mining hotspot of Rugeley in the Staffordshire countryside. This facility is located on the outskirts of the town and today is a minor station on the Trent Valley section of Britain’s oldest railway, the Great Western Mainline. Trains also operate as part of the Chase Line.
