This station is on the Argyl and Shotts Railway Line and serves the large town of Cambuslang about six miles t the east of the city of Glasgow. The station is used heavily by commuter traffic from the town travelling into Glasgow for work. Around the station there are a good deal of shopping and entertainment facilities.
