This station is quite unusual as the town that it serves took its name from the station rather than the station taking its name from the town. The station lies on the Argyl Line in East Dunbartonshire close to Glasgow in Scotland. The town has a rich history dating back to the Roman conquest of Scotland but today is most famous for its winter sports centre that attracts visitors to the station from across the country.
