Barrhead Station is on the South West Glagow Railway Line and is located in a small community about eight miles from Glasgow. The station has always served a vibrant and interesting town that has had its roots firmly planted in manufacturing since the industrial revolution. The area is famous for its Armitage Shanks porcelain ware as well as an iron foundry and a Tannery. The station is close to the centre of the community.
