Addiewell Station is in the small industrial village of Addiewll in West Lothian in Scotland. It lies to the south of Breich Water, about two miles to the south of Blackburn. The town was built around the oil industry that developed after James ‘Paraffin’ Young opened the mines in the area in the 1860s. Near the station is a school, an industrial estate and the station is on the line between Glasgow and Edinburgh.
