Sleaford is a large town in Lincolnshire and this is the more major of two stations that serves the community. The area gets its name from the River Slea which flows through it and is a tributary of the River Witham. The station is about eighteen miles to the north of Lincoln and trains run as part of the Nottingham and Skegness Railway.
