Located on the Grimsby Branch of the Sheffield to Lincoln Railway Line, Gainsborough Central perhaps surprisingly due to its name is the less busy of two stations in the Lincolnshire town. The facility enjoys only a few trains per day and is not particularly well used compared to the other station in the community.
