This station was once known as Bushey and Oxhey because it serves both towns but was renamed just Bushey Station in 1974. It is quite strange that this name choice was given as the nearest part of Bushey is over a mile away and the station stands in the town of Oxhey. The station is close to Watford and was served by the London Underground until 1982.
