This station is set at the foot of the Chiltern Hills in the lovely picturesque Buckinghamshire countryside. Serving the small village of Bourne End, the station lies where the River Wye flows into the River Thames within reach of the capital by boat. The community of Bourne End has traditionally been the home to papermakers, brick makers and lace makers.
