Bishop’s Stortford Station serves the affluent market town of Bishop’s Stortford on the east Hertfordshire and west Essex borders. The station, which stands close to the town centre is close to a large entertainment complex with cinema, bowling alley and several bars and restaurants. The station is part of the Hertfordshire commuter belt and is used heavily by locals to access London for work. It is also a major interchange from suburban rail and bus services to access the Stansted Express to Stansted Airport that is just a few miles away.
