This station serves a small town on the banks of the River Humber. There is a regular bus service from the station across the river to Hull. The area around the station was formerly an important player in the manufacture of bicycles but the demise of Hopper’s Bicycles has seen that industry move elsewhere. The famous Viking Way starts close to the station and offers some of the best walking in England.
