Located between Biggleswade and Hitchin, Arlesey Station serves a large industrial village in Bedfordshire. The station provides quick and direct services to both Peterborough and London and is therefore a popular place for commuters to live. The area is mentioned in the Domesday Book as a market town. It has two local swans that are popular with tourists and has the dubious fame of having the shortest cycle path in the world at just over a metre long.
