Roose is a residential suburb of the town of Barrow in Furness in Cumbria and this station is the primary rail access point for the people of the community. The area around the town is well known for its natural beauty. Trains run to the station on a fairly regular schedule as a part of the Furness Railway Line and Trans Pennine Express.
