Dalston in Cumbria should not be confused with the north London suburb of Dalston Kingsland, often referred to simply as Dalston. The station is located in the Cumbrian countryside and is part of the Cumbrian Coastal Railway Line which offers a scenic yet practical transport link along the English coast to Carlisle.
