This station serves the village of Barry west of Carnoustie in the Angus region of Scotland. The tiny community around the station is set in a wonderful pastoral setting and the views across the rolling Scottish hills are wonderful. The station is officially the least used of all the mainline railway stations in Britain. In a three year survey only three people boarded trains at the station after paying a fare (excluding season ticket holders).
